Information you provide

We collect personal information when you voluntarily submit it to us. This helps PantryGift respond to inquiries and process requests and/or donations.

Registration: If you opt to register a user account on the website, we may retain the preferences you select.

Stewards are required to provide full name, email address, mailing address, and phone number. We may use steward name and email address to correspond about steward use of our website, deliver a monthly steward newsletter, and provide information about special funding opportunities. Stewards will receive checks by mail and will be contacted by phone in the event we are unable to make email contact.

Contributions: If you choose to donate to PantryGift, you are required to provide your full name, email address, billing address, and payment information. We may use donors’ names and email addresses to correspond about transactions (confirmation emails, receipts, acknowledgment messages, project updates). We may send donors recommendations based on past project support with an option to unsubscribe from such recommendations. We use the payment information provided by donors to process donor-authorized transactions. Such transactions may be to a project campaign, an authorized monthly donation, or a donation to PantryGift Inc. Automatic credit card filing is disabled. 

Requests: If you submit an online request for additional information or submit a question through a “contact us” query, we may collect additional information (name, email address) from you to respond to your request. Such information will vary with the request.

 

Information we share

PantryGift Inc. will not rent, trade, or sell information that you provide to us.

Unless donors indicate a desire for anonymity, we share donor salutations publicly on the project page. On the publicly accessible portion of the website, we share with donors and site visitors pertinent steward-submitted information, including project names and information/details about the projects (location, background, demographic served).

We may occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf. We will provide those companies with the information necessary for them to deliver the service.

We will share information when required by law, to comply with legal process, to protect our legal rights, to protect the safety or security of a person, and to protect against fraud, criminal acts, or misconduct. We may also share information with successor entities.
